Last updated: April 1, 2026
1. Service Description
Memra provides a memory API for AI agents and LLM applications. The service stores, retrieves, and manages memory data through a REST API. Your data is stored as portable text files on servers located in the European Union.
2. Account Registration
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys. Do not share API keys with unauthorized parties. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Data Residency
All data is stored on servers located in Falkenstein, Germany (EU). Your data never leaves the European Union. This applies to memory content, account data, and all associated metadata.
4. Data Ownership
You retain all rights to your data. Memra stores it on your behalf and does not use your data for any purpose other than providing the service. We do not use your memory content for AI training, analytics, or any secondary purpose.
5. Data Portability
You can export all your data at any time via the API export endpoint (GET /v1/export) or through your dashboard. Data is stored as portable text files and exported in JSON format.
6. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time through the dashboard. Deletion removes all your data across all storage layers within 30 days per GDPR requirements. This includes memory content, metadata index entries, cached embeddings, and account information.
7. Acceptable Use
Do not store illegal content. Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits. Do not share API keys with unauthorized parties. Do not use the service to harm, harass, or violate the rights of others. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
8. Service Availability
Memra targets 99.5% uptime. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services or force majeure events.
9. Limitation of Liability
Memra is provided "as is." We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
